Platform2 Volunteer, Meru MAFECAP project, Meru, Kenya, 13th Oct- 22nd Dec 2010
Over the coming 10 weeks I will be volunteering on a conservation project in the Meru forest in Kenya, as part of the Platform2 overseas volunteering scheme.
End of the Road music festival, Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset, 10th - 12th September 2010
Thermo Lantern installation at End of the Road festival. Fifteen lanterns were suspended in a tree in the gardens, illuminated by candles lit each evening.
'Let's Do Nice Things' takes over SHOP, Christmas Steps, Bristol, 26th-30th July 2010
A week of events at SHOP including life drawing, film night and a pop-up exhibition featuring the thermochromes for interaction and illumination.
'The Intelligent Hand' competition by DesignBoom in collaboration with MACEF
The 'Discrete Plates' were shortlisted for this design competition organised by designboom and the Italian manufacturer MACEF. Images of the plates appear on the designboom website.

Art and Utility, West Wales School of the Arts, 2nd November- 4th December 09.
The Discrete Plates were selected to part of the exhibition 'Art and Utility' at the Gallery in the West Wales School of the Arts. This was a group show featuring plates from ceramicists and fine artists to explore the relationship between art and utility.
New Designers, London, 8th- 12th July 09.
The new designers show showcases the work of UK graduates on a wide range of design related courses.
MADE Pop-up-shop in Milsom Place, Bath, 12th- 14th June 09.
The group; Makers, Artists and Designers Enterprise, will be running a pop-up-shop in retail units in Milsom Place in the centre of Bath from the 13th to the 21st of June 2009.

RSA Design Directions; Public Spaces, Safer Places, 7th- May 09
My submission was included in a small exhibition at the awards ceremony of this design competition by the RSA. The project, in conjunction with the Home Office, The National Counter Terrorism Security Office and the Royal Institute of British Architects, asked for design solutions for public spaces in the event on a terrorist attack.

Ai Ono, Rebecca Vernon, Rhian Pressley and Esther Hubert show new work in Ceramics and Textiles at the Walcot Chapel, Bath.
Project at Piggot School, Wargrave, 13th March 09
I ran a creative workshop with year three pupils at the school. The children decorated plates with transfer shapes. When they were finished the plates were photgraphed and the patterns used to create new images. The children were then given their plate to take home.
